Kendall Egan, MD
Dr. Kendall Egan is a board certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is committed to providing compassionate and thorough medical and cosmetic care. Her interests include acne, skin cancer, hair loss, rashes, pediatrics, and all things skin! For those patients interested in cosmetic treatments, she also specializes in neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), fillers, chemical peels, plasma rich protein, and laser treatments. Dr. Egan strives to accentuate a natural youthful look, and she avoids creating “fake” appearing results.
Dr. Egan has published over 17 articles on topics including skin cancer, hair loss, inflammatory skin conditions, and infectious skin diseases. She has also been asked to talk at national dermatology meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology.
After attending the University of California Davis School of Medicine, Dr. Egan was commissioned into the US Navy. She deployed twice as a physician on an aircraft carrier, including one to Indonesia to provide medical care for the tsunami relief effort. She has taken off and landed on an aircraft carrier, flown in helicopters over the Indian Ocean, and traveled the world taking care of our military service members. She has the upmost respect for our active duty service members and veterans. She considers her time in the Navy a great honor.
After internship and residency, she spent several years teaching residents. Before returning home to the San Diego area, Dr. Egan practiced in the private sector in Oregon and North Carolina where she developed an appreciation for craft beer, sea turtles, and thunderstorms.
Dr. Egan was an all American high school swimmer in San Diego County. She attended and swam for both Rancho Buena Vista and Poway High Schools. She went on to swim competitively at UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Egan continues to follow swimming (HUGE fan of Ledecky and Dressel), and she keeps active while spending time with her husband and two daughters.
